Charlotte de Witte releases 'The Realm' via KNTXT

The techno artist's new single arrives as the first taste of her self-titled debut album, due November 7.

Fifteen years into a career built entirely on techno, Charlotte de Witte has put out a new single called ‘The Realm,’ released through her own label, KNTXT.

The track runs on tight, wound-up techno percussion and acid-streaked synth lines, and it’s built around a spoken vocal that repeats: “enter the realm of the unknown.”

She’s been releasing music since 2015, and on the label since 2019, and ‘The Realm’ follows ‘Sanctum EP,’ her last release there.

It’s the first single from her self-titled debut album, due November 7. The LP arrives after what’s been a run of sold-out shows at Flanders Expo, more than 70,000 tickets sold across three nights, plus a street party in her hometown.

“It’s the first single from my debut album, and it carries the energy and philosophy that inspired the entire record,” de Witte said. “The lyrics capture the essence of what I believe music can do.”
