Charlotte de Witte's new single traces back to a bridge in Williamsburg
A chance meeting on the Williamsburg Bridge became the backbone of Charlotte de Witte's new KNTXT single, out February 5th.
“This track is hopefulness in action,” Conduit said of “A Prayer for the Dancefloor,” the song he wrote after meeting Charlotte de Witte on the Williamsburg Bridge in 2024.
Conduit wrote the words himself. He speaks them across the track too, set against driving techno, acid-tinged texture, and builds that don’t fully resolve.
“‘A Prayer for the Dancefloor’ sums up the whole philosophy of the album,” de Witte has said.
The single lands via KNTXT, de Witte’s own label, on February 5th. It’s joined on the digital release by an exclusive Avalon & GMS remix of the same track.
It’s also a marker for her 15th year as an artist. She plays two anniversary shows at Flanders Expo on February 6th and 7th before carrying the milestone into festival dates at Tomorrowland Winter, Awakenings, Pitch Melbourne, and Kappa Futur.
A Vinyl Deluxe Edition of her self-titled debut follows on April 3rd, adding a bonus four-song disc and two tracks that don’t exist anywhere but on vinyl.
