Charlotte De Witte Splits Two New EPs Across KNTXT In One Day

The straighter, acid-tinged 'Selected' arrives alongside a more ambient companion EP, 'Pressure,' the same day.

A cantering banger built on distorted drums opens the record, chasing pure techno power before easing toward anything more introspective.

Charlotte De Witte, releasing since 2015, put out ‘Selected’ on 15 November 2019 through KNTXT, the techno label she founded, alongside a companion EP called ‘Pressure,’ released the same day.

Since KNTXT put out ‘Liquid Slow,’ the collaboration she’s made with Chris Liebing, the label’s moved to releasing both EPs at once, treating them as two sides of one release: four tracks apiece, out together. ‘Selected’ takes the straighter, acid-tinged route. ‘Pressure’ extends the more ambient, rougher-edged mixes she’s bringing to her radio residency.

“Straightforward techno with the acid twist that I love to bring to the floor,” de Witte said, of the release.

That same week, she’s back in Antwerp for a separate KNTXT club night with Chris Liebing at the Sportpaleis, on 16 November.
