Charlotte De Witte Streams 'Return To Nowhere' Live From A Ghent Castle
The KNTXT EP follows 'Selected', and pairs hymnal vocals with her usual hard-hitting techno.
Charlotte de Witte is a Belgian producer who’s run her own label, KNTXT, since 2019. ‘Return To Nowhere’, out 12 June, is her latest release on it.
De Witte built the EP’s vocals around a hymnal quality, and describes the result as reaching somewhere more emotional than her usual work.
The tracks stay hard-hitting underneath, techno that’s built for peak time. Chants run through them, hypnotic and wide, turning haunting in places.
Four tracks make up the record: ‘Sgadi Li Mi’, ‘Return To Nowhere’, ‘Ensemble’ and ‘What’s In The Past’.
She’s been releasing since 2015, and was voted Best Belgian DJ at the Red Bull Elektropedia Awards, with this EP following ‘Selected’ on KNTXT, and ‘Vision’, her newest release.
De Witte streamed the release from Gravensteen, the medieval castle in Ghent, under the banner ‘New Form II: Return To Nowhere’, a series that began with a rooftop set, this edition following a B2B alongside Enrico Sangiuliano.
