Charlotte de Witte Closes Out 'Rave On Time' With Her Softest Track Yet

The techno artist's new four-track EP on her own label pairs thumping bass and acid riffs with a choral breakdown to close.

Charlotte de Witte has released ‘Rave On Time,’ a new four-track EP on her own label, KNTXT.

Most of the release runs on the low end and rolling acid lines that have defined her sound for years, before the closing track, ‘Common Era,’ pulls back into a softer, choir-tinged close, the EP’s one moment of reprieve. It sits alongside ‘There’s No One Left To Trust’ and ‘The World Inside,’ the other two songs on the EP.

‘Rave On Time’ follows ‘Return to Nowhere EP,’ also on KNTXT, where de Witte has released music since 2019. She’s been putting out records since 2015.

De Witte marked the release with a livestream from the Mogren Fortress in Budva, Montenegro, part of Exit Festival’s InfinitX series, which has also broadcast from a medieval castle and from her own rooftop in Belgium. The EP was available to buy on Beatport from the moment the livestream began.
