Yotto's debut album Hyperfall arrives on Anjunadeep
The debut album closes out a run of standalone singles, carries a Vök feature across its thirteen tracks, and lands alongside a world tour.
For years, the fans who’d followed Yotto through one single after another had been waiting on a debut album that never quite showed up, until Hyperfall did. A first album isn’t the same kind of statement as a string of collaborations, however good they’d been.
It landed on Anjunadeep, the label he’d been on since 2015, on 7 September 2018, running thirteen tracks long, which is a different kind of commitment than a two-track release ever asks for.
He’d been releasing since 2014, well before he joined the label. Hyperfall follows Walls, his previous release there.
Track two, ‘The One You Left Behind’, pairs him with Vök on vocals, one of three collaborations on an otherwise solo record, and two more turn up later in the tracklist; everything else, he’s credited alone.
On the back of the album, he heads out on a world tour this year, and a full run of dates has been announced alongside it.
