Tinlicker's Fourth Album Faces Down the Machines
'Dreams Of The Machine' is Tinlicker's first release on [PIAS] Electronique, out ahead of a UK/EU tour as a three-piece.
Tinlicker have released ‘Dreams Of The Machine,’ their fourth studio album and first release on [PIAS] Electronique.
More than a decade into it, Tinlicker still build a sound that’s as inward-looking as it’s built for a packed room, running on live instruments, indie guitar, and orchestral touches over synth-heavy house production. The album’s built around the idea of technology’s presence in everyday life. Songs like ‘Release,’ ‘Choosing Life,’ and ‘Surrender’ carry its storylines through soulful, vocal-led writing. Live performance has always run through Tinlicker’s catalogue too.
‘Dreams Of The Machine’ follows ‘Melancholia,’ a sweeping, cinematic single Tinlicker put out on Cercle Records, and Tinlicker have steadily been releasing music of their own since 2012.
Tinlicker are heading out on the road as a three-piece for the first time. A UK and EU tour starts March 3rd, with an NA tour expected to follow.
