Space Motion follows 'Space Friends 01' with two-track single 'Alien'
The label boss follows his own Space Friends 01 with a two-track single built around an extended mix and a radio edit.
Space Motion, who runs the label releasing it, follows Space Friends 01, his last release on the same imprint, with ‘Alien,’ a two-track single built around an extended mix and a radio edit of the same production.
The melody carries most of the weight here, bold and unafraid of a big turn. It doesn’t let up once it commits to that turn, running hot for most of its length and never easing off midway. It’s built to hit a room, not headphones. Subtlety isn’t really the point of it, and it doesn’t pretend otherwise.
He’s built a reputation for a distinctive, refreshing style at the label he runs himself, and that reputation is exactly what ‘Alien’ is riding into the room on its way to a set somewhere.
It comes as a two-track single, an extended mix and a radio edit of the same production, credited to Space Motion alone on both versions, with nobody else’s name anywhere on the release.
