Jeremy Olander Releases 'When The Rain Falls' on Vivrant
Ten tracks on the label he founded in 2014, shaped by sobriety and fatherhood, with a world tour opening the same day.
Jeremy Olander’s run Vivrant since 2014, and on 13 March the producer released ‘When The Rain Falls’ through it.
The record runs to ten tracks. Its title track was made with Moontalk, the pairing of Edwin Lindberg and Lukas Hällgren, and it puts Olander’s melodic and cinematic instincts against the duo’s hypnotic house grooves. Atmospheric, and pointed forward.
Olander built Vivrant up as a home for melodic work, and his own records have gone out through Drumcode, Diynamic, Watergate, Last Night On Earth and Anjunadeep along the way.
The album arrives more than a decade after Olander’s debut on Eric Prydz’s Pryda Friends, and he’s described it as personal and introspective, shaped by major changes in his life. Sobriety. Becoming a father. It’s his account of both.
“The end of the first chapter of my career and my life, and the beginning of the next,” Olander said of the record.
A world tour built on this material opens the same day in Houston. It isn’t a run through the back catalogue.
