Miss Melera Adds 'Jade' to Balance Music
Her contribution to Balance 032 is instrumental, and a Paradiso takeover follows it in December.
Miss Melera’s ‘Jade’ arrived on 17 November, on Balance 032, the Balance Music compilation.
Bass drives it from the opening and there isn’t much else in there at the start, which leaves a bass line and a lot of room around it. Space, mostly.
What fills it arrives gradually. Synths with some pull to them, pads kept airy, and a shape that stays club-ready while it moves.
There’s no vocal. ‘Jade’ is instrumental, so the Dutch producer’s melodic register does all of the carrying by itself, with nothing on top of it to lean on.
It’s another entry in a catalogue Miss Melera has built out over years, and it sits among 43 tracks on the compilation. The mystical end of melodic house is where she has made her name, and ‘Jade’ sits squarely in it.
The record isn’t the only thing on the Miss Melera calendar: Colourizon Amsterdam 2023 follows it, and she’s taking over Paradiso, the church venue in the city, for the night. Last year’s edition marked ten years of the series and went well enough to earn this one.
