Jonas Saalbach debuts on Purified Records with Data Romance EP

The three-track EP closes with a remix from Lexer and lands as Saalbach's first outing for the label.

German producer Jonas Saalbach makes his Purified Records debut with the three-track EP ‘Data Romance,’ out 20 February 2026.

It follows Feliteira, his last release, and it’s the first time Saalbach’s own name has landed on Purified, a label whose catalogue already includes Deviu, Heard Right and Moa.

The title track opens on restrained tension, soft synth hits laced through vocal snippets, euphoric melodic lines folded into tight, precise rhythm work, and it doesn’t let up much from there. Following the opener, ‘Human Oscillator’ digs deeper into rhythm: a hypnotic pulse, a bassline that keeps sliding under itself. The build favors hardware over software throughout. Lexer, whose own catalogue runs through Purified and This Never Happened, closes the release with a remix of the title track.

Radikon is the constant in the background. Saalbach started the label back in 2018, alongside David Guzy, and it’s closing in on a hundred releases now, with a handful of well-known names sitting on the roster.

“The Data Romance EP is the first release in a while that I’m truly convinced by and that really sounds like me,” Saalbach says. “The last two years were quite intense on a personal level,” he adds. There isn’t much more to it than that, in his telling.

He’s toured for the better part of a decade now, playing Zamna, Fusion Festival and Burning Man, and a Cercle session, shot on a Norwegian fjord cliffside, drew more than 17 million views.
