Franky Wah makes his Anjunadeep debut with "Should Have Seen It Coming"
Franky Wah's first release on Anjunadeep arrives ahead of a four-track EP of the same name, due next week.
Franky Wah hasn’t released on Anjunadeep before, and “Should Have Seen It Coming” marks his first appearance on the label.
It opens a four-track EP of the same name, due on the London label next week. AETHO guests on vocals throughout, over poignant breakdowns and trance-leaning textures. Anjunadeep itself is Anjunabeats’ sibling label, run by Above & Beyond, and it’s built a reputation on live takeovers of spots like Printworks and Open Air London. The whole thing follows on the heels of Anjunadeep’s 20th-anniversary run, a label that got its start back in 2000.
Franky Wah picked up serious attention back in 2020, when he landed an Essential Mix and a nomination for Hottest Track of the Year, plus a profile in GQ Magazine. He’d already played the Arc Stage at Creamfields the year before that, in 2019, and this EP reaches back to where he started, leaning into deep, melodic sounds and pushing them somewhere new.
Give it a spin now, wherever you stream. It’s worth the moment.
