Amelie Lens Follows A Marathon BBC Radio 1 Set With The 'Higher' EP
The three-track EP arrives on her own Lenske label, closing with a remix from FJAAK.
In April, Amelie Lens took over BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix and kept the slot running for four hours, the longest stretch the programme had carried since 1997.
That appearance sat inside a run that already included a mix CD she recorded for fabric the previous November, plus a livestream during lockdown that drew a strong response from an audience with nowhere else to see her play.
She’s now shared ‘Higher’, the title track from a new three-track EP arriving on Lenske, the label she runs herself, not through an outside imprint.
The EP pairs ‘Higher’ with ‘L’Obscurité’, before FJAAK closes the collection with a remix of the title track, taking the release’s final slot.
Away from the record, she’s also billed for this summer’s EXIT festival, on a bill that includes Black Coffee, Nina Kraviz and Paul Kalkbrenner.
