Lane 8 releases 'Visions' with RBBTS on This Never Happened
The producer pairs with vocal duo RBBTS for a new single on his own imprint.
Lane 8 has spent years finding the right voice for a track before he’ll finish it. ‘Visions’ is the newest example, out now on his own label, This Never Happened.
RBBTS handle the vocal this time. It’s a pattern with him at this point: find someone whose voice already fits the mood sitting inside a track before it’s finished, then build the rest of the production around that fit, not the other way around. He’s done it before. This is the latest proof.
The vocal isn’t dropped over a finished beat here. It sounds baked into the structure from early on, woven through the production, not bolted on top at the end, and that takes longer and shows in the finished mix.
‘Visions’ runs at 125 BPM, a touch quicker than the label’s usual pace, though not enough to pull it outside the lane the imprint has carved out for itself.
