Lane 8's new album lands on his own imprint, and the tour behind it keeps the label's no-cameras approach going.
Known for turning shows into a no-phones, no-photos experience, Lane 8 releases a new album, Brightest Lights, on This Never Happened, the label he started after his run on Anjunadeep.
Brightest Lights runs 14 tracks, and it’s built to feel personal: euphoric in some spots, aiming straight for the heart, not just for a crowded dancefloor, from the first minute to the last. It’s Lane 8 connecting directly with the people who show up for him, one long record at a time.
This Never Happened prides itself on making music for the people, not for DJ recognition. The idea is simple: let people live in the moment, in a way a phone can’t capture. Fans leave with memories worth keeping, none of which fit in a camera roll. Lane 8’s taking Brightest Lights on a worldwide tour, continuing that same live concept as he goes, with the North American leg alone running twelve dates, the busiest stretch of the run so far.
