Facundo Mohrr shares 'Hermosa' EP via All Day I Dream

The closing title track hands half its credit to fellow Argentinian producer Polo (AR).

Facundo Mohrr waits until the very last track of his new EP to use its own title, and when ‘Hermosa’ finally lands, it’s shared between two names instead of one.

It’s out now on All Day I Dream, opening with the solo ‘Little Pains’ before handing the middle to ‘Clusters,’ where fellow Argentinian producer Maxi Degrassi joins him. The closer, ‘Hermosa,’ is shared with Polo (AR), one guest per track.

Putting the title track last isn’t a small decision on a record that’s otherwise Mohrr’s alone. ‘Hermosa’ only arrives after ‘Little Pains,’ ‘Clusters’ and ‘As It Happens’ have each had a turn, and the record’s own name shows up attached to someone else’s credit only then. Polo (AR) doesn’t appear anywhere else on the tracklist.

What lands here is warm and unhurried in character. The record leans on layered melody and richly textured sound, with a rhythm that keeps moving without forcing anything, and that quality turns closest to euphoric right at the close, on ‘Hermosa’ itself.

All Day I Dream is exactly the kind of home a record like this wants: unhurried, melodic, better suited to a slow sunset set than a 3am warehouse push.

Maxi Degrassi’s feature stays contained to ‘Clusters,’ the record’s middle track. The only other guest spot on the EP, right at the close, belongs to Polo (AR).
