Eelke Kleijn returns to DAYS like NIGHTS with Punta Cana

The Dutch producer traces the single back to a 2016 gig in the Dominican town it's named for, and previews his upcoming Moments Of Clarity project.

After fifteen years splitting his attention between club productions and film work, Eelke Kleijn returns to DAYS like NIGHTS with a new single called Punta Cana.

The track’s built around a steady, pulsing kick, with layered synths and subtle vocal samples set against a full, driving low end.

Kleijn: “I wrote the melody for the track while I was in Punta Cana for a gig in 2016.”

The single is the second from Moments Of Clarity, his upcoming project. It’s landing in the middle of his biggest North American run yet, with stops across New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Mexico City and San Francisco, plus a set at Burning Man this summer.

Kleijn hasn’t stuck to club tracks alone. He’s also composed for film, contributing music to Parker, The Crossing, Rush and This Means War, and a bootleg of “The Hanging Tree,” from the iconic film The Hunger Games, first pushed him toward international recognition.

It’s out now. It’s worth playing loud, on a system that can carry the low end.
