CamelPhat land their first MDLBEAST release with Running Man

The single opens MAHOOL's third chapter, and FISHER and Dom Dolla were already playing it before the release date arrived.

CamelPhat’s Running Man is out on MDLBEAST Records, the Grammy nominated duo’s first release for the label.

It’s the third release on MAHOOL, the label’s newer wing for house and techno, and Arabic for giant is exactly the kind of scale the name is going for. Handing a debut slot on a young sub-label to a name this established says something about the arm’s ambitions.

This isn’t a track people are hearing for the first time. It’s turned up in CamelPhat sets for years, at Creamfields and at MDLBEAST’s own Soundstorm, long before anyone outside the booth knew its name. Fans had circled it as an unreleased ID for years, waiting on somebody to finally put a label on it. Four years in the making.

FISHER and Dom Dolla backed it early, ahead of the wider release. That’s the kind of co-sign a bootleg picks up in DJ booths long before a label ever attaches a date to it, champions before the paperwork ever gets filed. Support like that tends to travel faster than any press push does, and it’s a fair share of why Running Man arrived with an audience already built in.

CamelPhat have been releasing music since 2010, across labels and one-off collaborations that stack up into the kind of catalogue most duos never get near. Running Man follows Hope.
