Argy builds NEWORLD II out of ritual and cinema

Ancient ritual symbolism running straight into modern machinery, scored like a film. That’s the register Argy is working in on ‘NEWORLD II’, and there’s nothing subtle about the ambition behind it.

What changed for him was 2025. ‘Melodia’ with MEDUZA and ‘Voices In My Head’ with Anyma both landed inside that year, and between them they pushed him into the small group of most-streamed producers working at this end of dance music. He comes to this album from a considerably greater height than he came to the last one.

That last one was 2023’s ‘New World’, and the new one is positioned as a step deeper into the same world instead of a straight sequel to it, a distinction that would read as marketing copy if the scale behind it were any smaller. It isn’t smaller. Two of the records on it are certified Gold, and the tour attached to it has grown into one of the more expansive audiovisual productions currently moving around electronic music.

‘Sierra’ is the one to start on. It’s the turning point into this phase, and what the album does after it makes the argument for that.
