Sam Shure returns to OJO Music with 'What?'
It's Shure's first original cut for OJO, not another remix, and label founder Bora Uzer already ran it all summer at his Pacha residency.
Sam Shure builds a track the same way most times: a restless vocal hook laid over plain house chords that stay out of its way.
The Berlin-based producer delivers his first original production for OJO Music, ‘What?’, on 20 September, a signing that started with a strong remix of ‘I Will Find You’ earlier this year, which is what actually got him through the label’s door. This one, though, he made entirely on his own.
Bora Uzer, OJO’s founder, has already worked the new track into his own sets since the summer, at his Ibiza residency at Pacha.
Shure’s catalog already runs through labels like Habitat, Siamese and TAU, a run that ‘What?’ now extends, following Laconia, his most recent record. He’s prolific by any measure.
That’s not something a label founder bothers with unless he genuinely believes in the track.
It’s out now via OJO Music.
