Nora En Pure lands 'Gratitude' EP on Enormous Tunes

The two-track EP follows 'Us' on the same label, with a piano-led close pulled straight from her Purified livestream.

Rumbling bass collides with playful, needling synths on Nora En Pure’s newest, landing somewhere brighter than a straight club record.

Nora En Pure, the Swiss-South African producer, lands a new one on Enormous Tunes. It’s two tracks. It follows ‘Us’ there directly.

Nora has been putting records out on that label since 2010, long enough that a new one barely counts as news anymore, more like a routine she keeps happily. Enormous Tunes, one of deep house’s steadier imprints, has carried most of it.

‘Forsaken Dream,’ the second track, already had an audience before the EP existed, because it turned up months earlier during her Purified 300 livestream, well before anyone had heard the record it belongs to.

It’s a tidy pairing, gone before either mood wears out its welcome.

The title track builds like a slow squeeze, tight and precise, stacking her usual sound-design tricks into one groove that never quite lets go until it’s over. Nothing about it drags.

Gratitude opens the pair. ‘Forsaken Dream’ closes it: piano-led, softer, done.
