Michael Bibi Turns a Familiar Ringtone Into 'Mobile Groove' on ELOVATE
His new single for ELOVATE began as a video his brother sent him of a familiar ringtone sound.
Michael Bibi has been releasing music since 2013, and his newest release for ELOVATE, the label that’s been his home since 2025, is ‘Mobile Groove,’ which follows ‘Front & Back Seat.’
The idea didn’t start in a studio. Bibi has said his brother forwarded him a clip built around a familiar ringtone, and it stuck with him long enough that he built a track around a sound almost anyone with a phone would recognize.
That notification tone became the hook, laid over a steady, rolling club beat, and the fusion doesn’t take itself too seriously: the lyrics carry a real sense of humor, and that’s not something every ringtone gets to keep.
