Lauren Mia's 'Halcyon' doubles as the name of her new label

The single shares a name with the label she plans to launch in early 2025, built around a 90s rave revival.

Lauren Mia’s new single ‘Halcyon’ landed 29 November.

It’s also the name of a label she’s about to launch, Halcyon Records, aimed for early 2025 and built to revisit early-90s rave sounds with a contemporary spin. She wants Halcyon Records to run on a curated roster of similarly styled music.

The idea traces to a stretch she spent in Berlin, where she found herself drawn into club sounds getting a fresh coat of paint. “I found it fascinating to hear these old-school trends resurfacing in the clubs and resonating with younger generations, which motivated me to infuse my own perspective into this revival,” she said. It’s landing on Armada Electronic Elements, the dance-focused offshoot of Armin van Buuren’s Armada label.

It follows ‘Euphoria (Lauren Mia Remix Edit),’ her previous release. That’s what capped a year that had already taken her to Brooklyn Mirage and Zamna, with tours through India and Europe.
