Kölsch Weaves His Late Father's Recordings Into 'I Talk To Water'
Three songs on the new album carry recordings of Patrick Reilly, a touring musician who died in 2003.
Kölsch has built his career on emotionally charged house and techno, and this time it runs through his own family.
He released ‘I Talk To Water’ on 27 October 2023 via Kompakt, and the title track features Perry Farrell.
He’s a Copenhagen, Denmark-based producer, real name Rune Reilly Kølsch, who’s sold millions of records worldwide.
Three songs on the new album, ‘Grape,’ ‘Tell Me’ and ‘It Ends Where It Began,’ carry recordings of his late father, Patrick Reilly, a touring musician who died in 2003. They’re not kept in the background.
Kölsch has been releasing dance music since 2010, and the album follows ‘Now Here No Where,’ his last release on Kompakt, and ‘Hand In Hand’, the most recent record to carry his name.
He’ll tour behind the album across Europe, South America and the United States this year, including stops at Tomorrowland Brazil, Art of the Wild and Amsterdam ADE.
