Elderbrook Shares 'Beautiful Morning', A First Look At His Second Album
'Little Love' arrives 24 February, and this warm, unhurried cut marks a shift from his indie-pop debut.
“‘Beautiful Morning’ is simply about two people spending time together. A day where nothing matters other than each other,” Elderbrook says of the track.
The song favors a warm, organic sound that’s built around his familiar, softly delivered vocal and moving at an unhurried pace, a patient way to open a record that, on this evidence, seems in no hurry to make its case.
His 2020 debut, ‘Why Do We Shake In The Cold?’, was indie-pop, and this pace moves somewhere else entirely, a change that’s been called a welcome one. It’s a promising way to open a second album, leading with something this settled instead of something loud.
It’s pulled from his forthcoming second album, ‘Little Love’, which also carries ‘Howl’, his collaboration with Tourist, already released ahead of it.
He’s a Grammy Award winner, and ‘Little Love’ is set to arrive on 24 February.
‘Beautiful Morning’ is out now via Mine Recordings.
