Claude VonStroke keeps a decade-old promise to Crosstown Rebels with Noche Clara
The Dirtybird founder's first release for the label leans into the hazy, after-hours sound he built his name on.
Claude VonStroke, who’s been releasing music since 2005 and founded the Dirtybird label along the way, has a new record on Crosstown Rebels: a three-track EP called ‘Noche Clara,’ out December 5.
“I promised Damian I would make a Crosstown Rebels release over ten years ago, and it’s finally happened,” VonStroke says.
Damian has played VonStroke’s own festival and remixed one of his biggest tracks over the years. VonStroke, for his part, has become something of a fan of Lazpod.
‘Noche Clara’ marks VonStroke’s first outing on the label. Its title track drifts through hazy, atmospheric tones that pull from the after-hours sound he built his name on, and it’s the kind of patient release that only makes sense once you know how long the wait was. The patience shows.
The EP also carries an extended mix of the title track before it closes with ‘Bam Bam,’ a collaboration with Honeycomb. Hear it below.
