Andrew Dum and Roundrobin's 'Healing' lands on Sounds of Matinee

The single, cut from a 25-track various-artists set, had already done time in Dum's own sets at UNTOLD.

Andrew Dum and Roundrobin’s ‘Healing’ landed on Sounds of Matinee on 19 September, the first single from an EP that shares its name.

It’s a reset. A genuinely quiet one, by his standards. He’d been sitting on this piano-led, melodic new direction for a while, playing it live already in sets that included UNTOLD long before he’d finally let the track go.

The track builds a slow, inward journey out of piano, melodic synths and an emotionally charged vocal, quieter and much more turned-in than what came before. One entry among many. It sits on a various-artists compilation, sharing space with two dozen other acts, cut from ‘Euphoric Beats 029’.

Dum credits his own collaborator Roundrobin with steadying it, calling their partnership the reason it’s finally sounding the way he’d always wanted it to sound. “Working with Roundrobin brought balance to the sound,” he says, “reflecting the rebirth I’ve been experiencing.”
